Glenfiddich is little changed since 1886, when William Grant and his nine children rolled up their sleeves to build the Distillery with their bare hands. These same silent warehouses and steamy mash rooms produce the world’s favourite single malt Scotch whisky today

Distillery Walks

Discover the distilleries of Dufftown with a local. Drink in the history and landscape of Dufftown and learn about our whiskies by taking a leisurely walk around Dufftown’s distilleries with whisky tastings along the way. Michelle’s experience and links with the whisky industry ensure you will sample whiskies which you may not have tried before. The walk is a lovely way to spend an evening in Dufftown, for whisky lovers, or those who simply want to see more of the area.The tour operates every Tuesday and Thursday from Mar - Oct, however should this not fit with your schedule or you would like a more indepth tour we can organise accordingly.The walk takes approximately 2.5 hours and begins at the Dufftown Clocktower at 6pm. Glenlivet
In the early 19th Century, Glenlivet was the word for the best in whisky. Universally demanded by the aristocracy and the King, Glenlivet was the guarantee of a quality borne out of an unflinching conviction to produce the best there was. In 1824 George Smith was granted the first legal licence to distill in Glenlivet. From this date on, only this Scotch has had the right to call itself The Glenlivet.
Today, still considered the definitive Speyside malt produced in the Livet Valley, The Glenlivet exhibits the characteristic delicacy and softness of the region.
Glen Grant

Glen Grant is one of the top five bestselling Scotch single malt distilleries worldwide. The Campari Group acquired Glen Grant whisky distillery in 2006 for the princely sum of €115m from Chivas Brothers, then under Pernod Ricard ownership. Accordingly, Glen Grant is likely to be made substantially larger. At present, the Glen Grant distillery houses six stills and runs at near full capacity, which totals 5.9million litres per annum. However, with the proposed addition of a power plant nearby and a further eight stills, by 2010 the capacity could be as much as twelve million litres.
Glenfarclas

The Glenfarclas whisky distillery draws its water from pure springs on the rugged Ben Rinnes mountain range, which looms omnipresent in the distant reaches. The distillery sits in the moors of Banffshire, just a mile from the River Spey. Glenfarclas has always been, and it seems will remain to be, one of Scotland's only family run distilleries. Accordingly, there is a strong degree of independence. Prized by connoisseurs, the single malt whiskies of Glenfarclas are matured almost solely in sherry butts and are aged in the substantial onsite warehousing facilities; the 28 warehouses hold 52,000 casks.
